Sildenafil, the active compound in Malegra, is processed and eliminated by the liver. Its half-life—the time it takes for half of the drug to be cleared from the body—is about 3 to 5 hours. This is why its effects typically last for about 4 to 6 hours. The medication will be gradually eliminated from the system after this period, reducing the ability to maintain an erection.
