Thinking of Switching to LED Downlights – Worth It?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been considering upgrading the lighting in my living room and kitchen, and a friend suggested I look into LED downlights . Right now, I’ve got a mix of CFLs and a couple of old recessed halogen bulbs that get super hot and don’t really light up the space evenly.
I’m curious about a few things before I make the switch:
Do LED downlights really make a noticeable difference in brightness and energy savings compared to halogens?
Are they tricky to install if you already have recessed fixtures?
What color temperature do you recommend for a living room versus a kitchen?
Any issues with dimming or flickering I should know about?
I want something that makes the space feel modern but also cozy. Would love to hear your experiences, especially if anyone has switched recently.
Thanks in advance!
