New Release: Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] Watch
Ulysse Nardin has been producing silicon marquetry dials since 2019, and one of my personal favorite watches from the Swiss brand in recent years is the Blast Free Wheel Marquetry, which originally debuted in 2023. For its latest 2025 release, Ulysse Nardin swaps blue for green, creating a limited edition of 10 pieces exclusive to the US. The Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] expands on the original model's design with a vibrant green silicon marquetry dial.
At first glance, the new Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] (Reference 1760-401LE-8A-GREEN/3A) high quality fake watches is essentially a green-dialed version of the original 2023 Blast Free Wheel Marquetry, which also served as the basis for the 2025 Blast [Free Wheel Maillechort], which debuted earlier this year and featured a German silver dial. Unlike the traditional round case outline of the original Ulysse Nardin Executive Tourbillon Free Wheel, the Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel features a noticeably more edgy silhouette, with angular lugs visually linking it to the rest of the Blast collection.
Similar to the original Ulysse Nardin Executive Tourbillon Free Wheel, the Ulysse Nardin Blast features bowl-shaped sapphire crystals framing the front and sides of the case, with the lugs partially skeletonized to further highlight its transparent structure. Like the original Blast Free Wheel Marquetry, the Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] case is crafted from 18k white gold, measures 45mm in diameter and 12.4mm thick, and is water-resistant to 30 meters to prevent accidental contact. Similarly, the angular three-piece lugs are paired with a textured rubber strap secured with a white gold folding clasp, though the strap is crafted from gray rubber instead of the blue of the original. luxury fake watches
Silicon, naturally gray in color, is increasingly sought after in watchmaking for its anti-magnetic and temperature-stable properties. Ulysse Nardin is a pioneer in silicon watchmaking, having first incorporated silicon components into its timepieces with the release of its first Freak watch in 2001. As a tribute to Silicon Valley and the burgeoning tech industry in the United States, Ulysse Nardin has unveiled the Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] collection, a tribute to this advanced material. In this latest iteration, Ulysse Nardin paints the silicon components green to evoke the look of printed circuit boards (PCBs), the foundation of silicon chips and electronic pathways.
A highlight of the Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] watch is its green silicon marquetry dial, composed of 103 individual silicon wafers, either matte or polished to create visual depth, and hand-assembled in an interlocking pattern to create a micro-mosaic artwork. Furthermore, the Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel watch places the movement's most striking components above the dial, while the remaining components are concealed below. This creates a striking visual effect that highlights the movement's intricate construction without the need for any skeletonization or openwork. swiss watches replica
The Ulysse Nardin Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] watch's star attraction is its dial, but the manual-winding Caliber UN-176 that powers it is also a truly remarkable innovation. Composed of 239 parts and set with 23 jewels, the Caliber UN-176 beats at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz), boasting an impressive power reserve of seven days (170 hours), a flying tourbillon, and the brand's Anchor constant-force escapement, whose balance spring, escape wheel, and pallet fork are all made of silicon. To track its autonomy, the caliber UN-176 also features a power-reserve indicator at 4 o'clock, which uses a rotating disc with varying numbers of bands to indicate the remaining tension in the flying twin barrels.
Similar to the original Blast Free Wheel Marquetry launched in 2023, the Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] combines an impressive movement with a truly striking dial. Its prominent use of green silicon sets it apart from Ulysse Nardin's various marquetry-dial watches, which typically feature blue silicon. It represents the most unique version of the Free Wheel concept released by the brand to date. Expensive and undoubtedly impressive, the Blast [Free Wheel Marquetry Silicon Green] is a celebration of silicon and the role it plays in both watchmaking and technology.
